First of all, we are fans of vintage electric bikes and we are also fans of Board Trackers. Hub motors have made it easy to reuse existing old-school bicycle and motorcycle frames and to create vintage E-machines with a new life! This is a dream come true for many motorcycle enthusiasts. But, not everybody is up to a task to convert a bike to an e-bike, or old cafe racer frame to an electric one. Bicycles like Greaser feature good mid-range price, aluminum 6061 frames, and lightweight easy-to-handle bicycle experience. Greaser e-bikes are still a “THING”, so we decided to take a closer look at the quality and performance!
Michael Blast just went out of their comfort zone and made THIS! Seems that all e-bike companies are rolling out bikes like this. This one, we really like it!
The ‘OUTSIDER’ ELECTRIC BIKE by Michael Blast – PRESS RELEASE A bite-sized beast packing a punch in all the right areas. Birthed in the dusty plains of Outback Australia, this tough machine certainly does not play by the rules.
Michael Blast 350/500W T4B – Vacay Cruiser Low Step Electric Bike Boasting a 70’s inspired design and a great range of top-quality components, the Michael Blast 350/500W T4B – Vacay Cruiser Low Step Electric Bike is sure to impress. With its whitewall tires and retro motorcycle styled front light, the T4B Vacay Cruiser Low Step electric bike proudly declares its vintage leanings. But unlike the old-school bicycles from that era, the Michael Blast T4B Vacay Cruiser Low Step is packed with the very latest in modern e-bike technology.
Fans of the Michael Blast range of electric bikes will notice similarities between the Vacay Cruiser Low Step and an earlier model, the Vacay Retro Style e-bike. This is because Michael Blast found the original Vacay Retro electric bicycle to be very popular with customers, but wasn’t well suited to those with limited flexibility or issues with balance (due to the high crossbar). As a result, the engineers at Michael Blast came up with a new concept e-bike: same great looks and features, but now with a low step-through styled frame that is easy to mount and dismount. This makes the T4B Vacay Cruiser Low Step electric bike a highly accessible choice for a greater range of riders.
Like many of its predecessors, the T4B Vacay Cruiser Low Step electric bicycle has been officially certified as EN15194 in safety and compliance. This commitment to safety is reflected in the use of reliable hydraulic brakes, courtesy of Tektro Auriga. The Vacay Cruiser Low Step e-bike also has a Promax Aluminum handlebar and stem, plus Duro Beach Bum fat tires that are 3” wide (ideal for use both on-road and off). Additionally, the T4B Vacay Cruiser has a 7 speed Shimano Acera gearing system, with 5-speed motor assist.
